Plateau: an area that is relatively flat at an important altitude atop a mountain.

Plateau is a dining table or a workspace, or indeed at home – both. The new Plateau table was designed to provide a large multi-use surface. A sweeping clean surface ready for inspirational conversation over dinner with friends, homework with the kids or to provide an uncluttered work environment.

The angled/trestled legs ensure that there is minimal impact on surrounding chairs. Also providing unobstructed 360 degree workspace use.

Legs are solid American Oak with American Oak natural finish veneer table top (with E10 MDF core), providing a robust surface for use in daily life.

Dimensions: Available in 3 rectangular lengths: 2400 x 1200, 2400 x 1000 + 2000 x 1000mm and 2 round diameters: 900cm Dia + 1200mm Dia

Designer: Marcel Sigel

Born in Australia, Marcel studied industrial design in Perth (Western Australia) before moving to Melbourne in 2004 to set up the multidisciplinary ‘zuii’ design studio. The studio quickly gained recognition, winning various local and international commissions across lighting, object, and furniture.

Following this success he received numerous awards including Wallpaper magazines ‘Best Young Designer’.

In search of new horizons, Marcel received a residency grant from the Australian Council for the Arts, moving shortly to Milan to immerse himself into international design culture. In 2007 he moved to London where he worked with both Artek design studio, and until 2011 was Senior Designer at Tom Dixon.

Since 2013, after relocating to Sydney, Marcel began designing for gohome, releasing the Plateau Table range.
